In addition to two periods of Mathematics, two periods of Literacy, Social Studies, and Science, all students participate in additional courses that enrich their learning, provide additional application or prepare our students to become responsible and successful citizens.

Every Day:

A Disciplined Life
A Disciplined Life is the 26 principles our schools are founded upon, and it is also a class. In ADL, as most students refer to it, students discuss the application of the principles through a wide range of topics from personal to global.

Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.)
Every day starts with silent reading and strategies for successful reading with D.E.A.R.

Monthly:

Community Engagement
Every Wednesday students spend half of their day participating in activities that use the city and community to further their learning.

Community Action Projects
These projects instill the importance of giving back to the community as students spend one day each month volunteering at community organizations around the city.

Field Studies
These academically rigorous field trips take students out into the real world to apply the skills they have learned in the classroom, or to further enrich their studies at libraries, museums, universities and more.
